Day 3

Why hello there(:

So today we drove about 685 miles. Our journey took us from Saskatoon to Dawson Creek, which is in British Columbia, Canada. Today wasn't too bad. We drove all the way through Alberta. Alberta had a bit of a better view than Saskatchewan. Alberta is a little more hilly and more green.  I got a Kinder Egg at one of the gas stations we stopped at. Haven't had one since my family and I lived in Italy. Super yummy! We ran into some Americans today during our drive. Going the same way as us, we saw cars from South Dakota, Colorado, and New York. Then about 20 miles before we crossed into British Columbia, we passed a handful of cars from Alaska (going the opposite direction). It was a little relieving seeing some other Americans =P

At a rest stop in Alberta.
We found a Harley store in a town between Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Deeper in Alberta.
Kinder Egg
Good thing we still get Sirius XM Radio signal, otherwise I think our drive would seem like it was A LOT longer than it really is. So far it really hasn't been bad. We haven't fought at all. Just enjoying what view we have and each other's company(: Anyways, we found the Comedy Central channel on XM radio. Because of this discovery, we have found a new comedian we love--JO KOY! We listened to one of his shows (Jo Koy, Lights Out) and it was hilarious! Reece laughed so hard that he started tearing.

Ritz Crackers and Peach Jam
Nestle Coffee Crisp
Today, we literally only had one real meal. For dinner we had burgers from A&W before we got to the hotel. All day we just snacked on treats Grandma Louise packed for us. Which included the Ritz cracker and Peach Jam! I admit I was a little skeptical at first but it is DELICIOUS! I also got a bag of Coffee Crisps to try, since I haven't seen these before. If you ever get the chance to try it and like coffee and chocolate, get this. Trust me. Oh! I pulled out some Canadian money from an ATM today. The first time I used it, I felt like a kid who is paying for their toy or candy for the first time. Their bills are pretty, I think.
Canadian Bills.
Canadian Coins ($2, 25 cents, 10 cents)

Road Trip Totals.
Miles Driven: 1822

Naps: Reece-1; Jessica-2

I think I'm gonna end today's blog with a picture of the sign for the Alaskan Hwy. We are getting closer! I can't wait to just be settled in and into a routine again. I'm sure the boys are tired of riding in a car already. Ok, GOODNIGHT(:

This time last year..

WARNING: This is a long post. I meant to share this last year but never got around to it. So here it is now. My story on when I got sick last year. Probably the scariest time of my life... September 28, 2017- I woke up thinking I was starting to get sick. Ugh. Who likes being sick? It was kind of hard to breathe, I felt sluggish and thought I was starting to get a fever. It was Thursday and also the last day of the training class I was in for work. I got up and got ready to try to survive the day. I wasn't going to let a cold stop me. For the last day, we spent the morning just going over one of the loading systems we use and then after lunch we were going to end the class with a class evaluation. Being a seasoned AMMO troop, I stood off to the side so the younger, newer members could get more hands on training. Half-way through the morning, I started to feel a weird sensation in my left arm. It also was harder to breathe than it was when I first woke up. Noticing this, I start...
