Headley Rally 3000

Hello there(: So let me tell you about the last two days.. Monday We got back on the road a little after 7am. About an hour or so later, we saw some hitchhikers along the side of the road. That was just a little different. Since it's pretty desolate where we were, we filled up the truck at every gas station on the way. At one of the stops, a Canadian fella came up to Reece and asked to look at his motorcycle. After looking at it for a little while, he asked Reece a couple times if he was looking to sell it (which he isn't). He ended up coming back to give Reece his card (in case he changes his mind) and a hat from his company (or the company he works for). What a nice guy.  Farther down the road, we ran into this pilot car sign. Had to wait about 10mins for the pilot car to lead us through some construction they were doing on the road. Our drive got a little more interesting once we started to see some WILDLIFE! We first saw three black bear cubs grazing on the sid

Day 3

Why hello there(: So today we drove about 685 miles. Our journey took us from Saskatoon to Dawson Creek, which is in British Columbia, Canada. Today wasn't too bad. We drove all the way through Alberta. Alberta had a bit of a better view than Saskatchewan. Alberta is a little more hilly and more green.  I got a Kinder Egg at one of the gas stations we stopped at. Haven't had one since my family and I lived in Italy. Super yummy! We ran into some Americans today during our drive. Going the same way as us, we saw cars from South Dakota, Colorado, and New York. Then about 20 miles before we crossed into British Columbia, we passed a handful of cars from Alaska (going the opposite direction). It was a little relieving seeing some other Americans =P At a rest stop in Alberta. We found a Harley store in a town between Alberta and Saskatchewan. Deeper in Alberta. Kinder Egg Good thing we still get Sirius XM Radio signal, otherwise I think our drive would seem

Oh Canada!

Hello!  Today we drove about 574 miles and currently in Saskatoon, in the center of Saskatchewan, Canada. We made it into Canada. Thank goodness. Crossing the border was quite the adventure. Woo wee. Let me tell you. So we left Reece's guns in Lincoln, NE, because we knew that you cannot have handguns in Canada. We get to the border. Give the lady our ID's, birth certificates, and the certificate of health for the Sarg and Loki. Obviously she had to ask some questions. Reece answered truthfully of course. The glock Reece has registered to him came up. She asked if we had any firearms with us. Well, we lost about an hour or so because she thought we might've been carrying a gun with us. They went through the whole truck and all of our luggage. Reece was not happy about that.  Once we got through the border, everything was fine. Well...almost. Reece was pretty fired up for awhile about the lady at the border looking for a gun in the truck. Canada, at least coming thr

Our journey begins..

Hello there. Welcome to my new blog. I'm gonna try this blogging thing again. This time about my life with my handsome hubby, Reece(: Anyways...so we're in the middle of moving from Las Vegas, NV to Anchorage, AK. The Air Force Gods decided we were needed in Elmendorf for the next couple of years. We've been "homeless" since April 28th. That's when TMO came and packed up our apartment. We stayed with my parents until we left Vegas. Then we packed up what we had left with us, including our two boys, and headed to Lincoln, NE. Since we're driving up to Anchorage, we decided it would be nice to visit his family before we made our way to AK. We spent about 11 days in Lincoln. Time went by a little too fast but I am so so happy we got to spend time with family. That brings us to today, May 21st, the day I consider Day 1. We left Lincoln around 8:30am. Drove for about 563 miles and stopped in Jamestown, ND. If you've never driven north on I-29 from Nebra
