Hello everyone!
Last week we had our last appointment with the Maternal Fetal Specialist at Alaska Native Medical. We got to see our little one for a little bit and then Doc checked the stitch. During the ultrasound, the ultrasound tech asked us what our due date was again. She had just measured the size of his belly and his head. I told her "October 10th". We were 30 weeks 4 days the day of our appointment. After I told her our due date, she told us that he's measuring 32 weeks and a couple days. She also told us he has a big belly (he probably has the Borja belly :] ) and hair! She also told us that he weighed 4 lbs 6 oz and that he's currently in the 80th percentile. Looking like he's going to be a big boy. It's not super surprising he's a bit bigger than average. If I remember right, at every ultrasound they measured his length he measured at least a week and a couple days bigger than what we were.
Overall, our appointment went well. Doc said that the stitch looks perfect and seems to be doing it's job. We're a little sad that we're done seeing the specialist off base. The doctor, nurse, and ultrasound tech we had there are amazing and super sweet. We will be forever grateful for them and the ultrasound tech who caught the funneling back in May. We are now 31 weeks and 2 days. When we first found out about my short cervix, we were afraid that we wouldn't make it to 25 weeks. Look at us now(:
I'll be getting the stitch taken out sometime after September 12. Which is also when I go back to work. We're prepping for him being here soon after I get the stitch taken out just to be as prepared as we can. Even if he stays in til our due date or close too, it's getting pretty close. I can't believe how fast these last couple months went by. I'm excited to have him here with us, mainly just so I can sleep like normal again and hopefully my hip pain will go away. But I'm also sad it's almost over. I've absolutely loved being pregnant.
Baby Joey moves around regularly. I can feel him up in my ribs now and also down near my pelvis. Sometimes at the same time. I haven't seen any limbs sticking out yet (my placenta might be in the way) but I can see when he's pushing himself against my belly.
Anyways, thanks for checking in! Until next time ;]
